As a multidisciplinary artist, character and narrative are at the forefront of my work. The stories I tell often have playful, sometimes, nonsensical narratives. Primarily working in ceramics, which has a long relationship to the hand through utilitarian objects, I bring these stories to life using energetic forms and bold, bright colored painting. I retell these stories through animation, photography, and ceramics and construct an immersive experience that connects the viewer to the work. I choose to tell these stories as a way to escape. I create a new world for viewers that offers a playful existence.
